Asian American Democrats Endorse Will Jawando for County Council
ROCKVILLE, Maryland: The Asian American Democratic Club of Montgomery County has decided to endorse Will Jawando for County Council at Large. This is in addition to our previous endorsements for the same position, Brandy Brooks and Danielle Meitiv.
Growing up in a low-income immigrant family in Silver Spring, then achieving success through the power of education, Jawando has lived through a story that is most familiar to us as Asian-Americans. He has translated his success into a lifetime of public service, especially with underserved minorities in Montgomery County.
Jawando’s support for our cause is evident in his policies supporting training programs and granting construction contracts to minorities and minority-owned firms. He also bears care and compassion for working families all across the county for his support for strong public education (including after-school and summer programs), smart transportation (such as the Purple Line and BRT), and paid family- and sick-leaves.
For his history of championing the cause of immigrant families, as well as his vision for a better Montgomery County for current and future generations, we endorse Will Jawando.
